What is the average time to become a PHP Developer?

Recently I came to know about the huge opportunities in PHP programming. I have already started taking its tutorial and am looking for 3 months ahead to get into freelance assignments with the same. Is it a reasonable time to be in? I had training in C++ and Java earlier. I am looking for form validation in particular. Are there any opportunities other than this?

If you know C++ already then php should be a doddle. Get yourself a Linux box, install Apache (with php obviously), and practice practice practice! I’m sure it’ll only take you a matter of weeks to get reasonably good!

It depends. There’s great site called http://www.killerphp.com which offer online video tutorials. Use it and see how easy to learn PHP.

    Good luck !!
